2011 Preview: Wide Receivers
The Keydets must find receivers that will step up to replace their top two targets a year ago - Talley, who has been moved back to A back, and the now graduated Mario Scott.
The likely "go-to" guy would be fifth-year senior Tracy Hairston, who emerges as a big play performer toward the end of the year and could project as an all-conference selectee this season. Hairston converted to wide receiver before the 2010 season started and emerged as a top receiver on the team by year's end and finished with 17 receptions which tied for fifth most on the team while leading the team in yards per catch with a 14.2 mark. Twelve of Hairston's 17 receptions were caught over the last five games of 2010.
The receiving corps also returns lettermen Stefawn Ross (Bealeton, Va.), Trent White (Douglasville, Ga.) and Aaron Lewis (Richmond, Va.). Depth could also be augmented by the freshman signing class that features three receivers.
