Assistant Coach Chris Miller:
Chris Miller's hiring was announced June 3, 2008. Miller came to Lexington fresh off a nearly three-year stint at Wesley College, his alma mater, where he acted as the Offensive Coordinator for the program. He also aided with recruiting, game preparation, and was the goalie coach, among other duties.
Prior to entering the coaching ranks, the new VMI assistant was a standout player at Wesley, as he currently ranks fourth on the school’s all-time points list, was the 2005 team captain, and was named all-conference for three consecutive seasons.
The former Rehoboth Beach, Del., resident graduated from Wesley in 2005 with a B.S. in Physical Education.

Assistant Coach Curtis Jaques:
VMI lacrosse announced the hiring of former player Curtis Jaques as an assistant coach on Sept. 9, 2009. Jaques primarily assists with the defense and goalkeepers at the Institute.
“I am excited that Curtis is back home,” said VMI head coach Jeff Shirk. “His knowledge of VMI and overall personality will be solid recruiting tools as we look to build our program into one of the nation’s best.”
Jaques returns to VMI after a two-year stint at SUNY Geneseo, where he worked with the defense and served as top assistant to head coach Jim Lyons. While there, Jaques helped Geneseo earn a No. 13 ranking in the final 2009 USILA Division III poll. The team also went undefeated in regular season conference (SUNYAC) play, before falling to No. 7 Cortland in the title game, 14-13.
