Coach Scott's impact as a recruiter continued to be felt in 2009, as the Keydets finished runner-up in both the indoor and outdoor Big South Championships. Since his arrival in 2004, he has been selected by the United States Track and Field governing body (USATF) as an Emerging Elite Coach. Scott has also developed All-Conference performers in every throwing event, men's and women's, and has coached every school record holder in the women's throwing events.
