The Office provides mentoring, counseling, advising, academic assistance to athletes, and support for departmental academic advisors. The goals of the department are to provide:

- mentoring, counseling and advising
- grade review

In addition, the department, staffed by Stephen Ross ’83 and Elizabeth Igo, assists athletes with the identification of individual career goals and selection of an academic major while also maintaining an extensive tutoring program. The staff mentors the cadet-athlete throughout the cadetship and devotes all resources to continued progress toward degree completion and successful employment upon graduation.
